Dr. Wilhite is a native of Columbia, TN. After graduating from Columbia Central High School in 1972, he received a Bachelors in Science Degree in Chemistry in 1976 from Middle Tennessee State University. He then earned his dental degree from the University of Tennessee in 1979. He began his dental practice in Columbia, TN in 1979 when he became a partner with his Father, Dr. R.C. Wilhite, Sr. He's a proponent of continuing education and has taken advanced courses in a variety of areas, including Invisalign®, Cad-Cam and computerized dentistry, occlusal and TMD treatment, comprehensive care, and the resolution of difficult cases.
He is married to Lee Ann and they have two children, Daniel and Emily. Dr. Wilhite has been president of his local dental Society twice. Once in 1993 and again in 2000 and is a member of the Tennessee Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
While he is not taking care of patients in the office, Dr. Wilhite enjoys doing volunteer work. In 1985, he went on his first mission trip with the Volunteers in Missions program of the United Methodist Church. He has been on mission trips every year since to places like Grenada, St. Vincent, Dominica, Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala.
